Eastcliff Residents Association (ERA) requested money from the Ramsgate Fund to enable them to provide entertainment on and around the Eastcliff Bandstand for the people of Ramsgate.

This year's croquet tournament was won by the Mayor and Mayoress of Ramsgate.
The Mayor can be seen here being congratulated by Councillor Clive Wire, Mayor of New Romney and Speaker of the Cinque Ports.

Mr. Gu was presented with a lead glass goblet emblazoned with the Ramsgate coat of arms when he brought more than 20 Chinese students to the Mayor's parlour on 3rd August.
The greeting to the town of the students by the Mayor during their attendance at the English language school at Chuchills is becoming an annual event.

On 20th May the Mayor was invited to start the Poppy Walk at Maurice House in Broadstairs.
Accompanied by the Mayoress he then did a circuit of the grounds and sponsored the Mayoress for her efforts.
